Run For Her – Virtual Race

Join our Run For Her Virtual Race and #SayHerName during 16 Days of Activism. You’ll be participating with hundreds of women, children and men who will run/walk to stand against Gender-Based Violence in South Africa.

This is a Virtual Race hosted by Women For Change and Chela-Fer. As it’s virtual, you can run/walk anywhere – your Race Pack will be delivered to your home.

We are dedicating every kilometre covered to the 3,914 women murdered between April 2022 and March 2023.

Date: Run/walk ANY distance on ANY day during 16 Days of Activism (25 Nov. – 10 Dec). Do it solo or with friends or family!
Location: Anywhere! In your neighbourhood, gym, beach – it’s a Virtual Race.
Distance: Run/walk ANY distance you want to cover.
Participants can share screenshots from fitness apps or photos from their run here.

Ticket Options

Basic Pack – R200: Includes WFC Medal, GBV Guide, Sticker, Race Bib, Drawstring Pouch and Running Belt by Chela-Fer.
Changer Pack – R250: Includes all Basic Pack items plus WFC Headband.
Superwoman Pack for R300: Includes all Basic Pack items plus Superwoman Bracelet by Jenna Clifford.
Donate & Join – R200 ($10/€10): This is especially for our international supporters. Due to high delivery costs, we can’t send race packs overseas, so please support us by donating the ticket price, and we will email you a printable Run For Her Race Bib for your virtual race.

Race Packs will be delivered to your address 2-4 days after we receive your payment.
Only 150 entries are available. Ticket sales will close once the event is sold out. 

All proceeds will be donated to Women For Change, a non-profit organisation that supports victims of GBVF.
